I went to school to be a graphic designer. It was only five years and many student loans later when I figured out my strongest interest wasn't visual communication, but written. While I loved my time in art school (I think everyone should try it), all I now have to show for it is the degree in my closet, an award from ID magazine, and this online portfolio.
As it helped me land my first and only job at a design firm, it served its purpose. I'm presenting it here now as a record of a wonderful time in my life -- when I cared passionately about effective visual solutions, my hands involuntarily twitched Adobe Illustrator keyboard commands, and my sense of self-worth was derived from the grace of an uppercase 'Q'.
