This course is designed to provide an introduction to the recognition of occupational safety and health hazards. Lectures and assignments will address fundamental skills in occupational health and safety hazard recognition. Students will gain skills in researching industrial processes and their hazards and observation of hazardous conditions through industrial hygiene and safety walk-throughs. Site visits are made to local companies to observe work processes and potential hazards, and to develop hazard recognition skills.

Fridays, 10:30 - 12:20 (with extensions for field trips)
