Write Lots of Junk to Arrive At The Good Stuff
I've made a lot of major changes recently to the screenplay I have been working on, but all for the better, I think. It's funny -- I began with this germ of an idea, and have built it out through several drafts since. Through these drafts, I initially moved further from the idea, but now am slowly returning to the original inspiration, but with a much more concrete and thought-out execution. It is as though I needed to work through all the not as good, tangential ideas before I could arrive at the appropriate story. Each of these wrong turns has eventually revealed a bit more of the "right" path.
The picture above is a horse pulling a carriage through downtown Seattle, taken last week while I was there for the holidays. It's hosted on Picasa, which I am loving mostly for its web interface and good iPhoto implementation. I'm still uncomfortable not hosting my pictures on my own server, though. I wish a server-installable version existed that I could use on my own host.
